I will I could tell you more about Mookie being voted off Survivor, but my damn DVR didn’t record it. Scientific Atlanta sucks. I wish I had TIVO back, but I have Cox cable and a HD TV, so TIVO is a no go. Why the hell can’t they make a HD Tivo box that isn’t married to DirectTV? What up with that? The recording quality is awesome, but the interface and function of that Scientific Atlanta DVR is TERRIBLE. It was probably designed by a bunch of engineers without one thought of how people might actually use the box. I really love fast forwarding to the middle of a three hour movie - with no jump points. Idiots.

Anyway. I missed Survivor. I’m glad Mookie is gone. I didn’t trust him. It’s taken me a long time to get into this season. I barely have the interest to keep watching. Not sure why. Cast maybe? Perhaps the show is just getting old? Certainly a lack of attractive women doesn’t help.

If some super uber fan feels like posting comments I’d love a good recap. And please, bitch on about Cox DVR!

The American Idol telethon was cool and all. I’ll happily admit I donated. How can you fault the cause. It’s cool that people with the power use the means they have (Simon Fuller and the show) to promote change and bring awareness.

It’s not at all suprsing that NO ONE WAS VOTED OFF. How crappy would it have been to vote off someone after talking about hungry children for two hours. Big buzz kill and kind of insensitive. But in the end it made for a lame buildup with Seabiscuit tell us it was the most suprising and shocking results ever. Shocking would be Ryan Seacrest dressed like a pimp.

So on to next week where I’d expect Chris of Lekisha to get the boot. Yep, that’s right. I’m predicting that Phil Stacey will hang on. He’s got great momentum. Plus Lakisha has looked absolutely beaten the last two weeks. She’s done.

Good Byea Sanjaya! He’s goin’ home. Sanjaya Malakar was finally voted off. Howard Stern and votefortheworst.com couldn’t save him from elimination this week.

I’m guessing it was a narrow vote though. Lakisha struggled big time with the country theme and I wasn’t at all suprised to see her in the bottom three. I had thought Chris Richardson would have taken Blake Lewis’ spot as the third. I’m glad Blake was safe though. I think Chris, Phil and Lakisha really have to step up from here on out. The weakest of those three is definitely going home next week…now that we have the Sanjaya wildcard out of the way.

This thing is hysterical. Will Farrell and Adam Mckay’s short film entitled Landlord. Featuring Will Farrell’s daughter as the landlord and Will’s out of control perm. Very Farrell like humor and his little girls is cute as can be, even as a drunk heartless landlord.

You’ve to figure that it’s either Haley’s or Phil’s week to go. Last week Gina Glockson got the axe in a bit of a surprise vote. This week I think it’s Phil’s turn to go. Scarnato’s skimpy wordrobe is the only thing keeping her alive at this point. About the only thing left to do for Haley is to get naked.

Lakisha stumbled a bit with the Latin theme. Melinda Doolite as well. Blake Lewis did alright, but I think the only standout was Jordan Sparks. Chris Richardson is alright, but he’s starting to sound the same every week. It doesn’t seem like he does enough with his style.

And then there’s Sanjaya. Ugh. Certainly he’ll make it through this week. I’ll have to admit he sounded alright, though he’s still a joke. Sanjaya’s sister and her boobs probably have more truly loyal following then Sanjaya himself.
