Idol Kristy Lee Cook Shows Early Potential
The first night of American Idol has uncovered the first stand out. Country singer Kristy Lee Cook blew away the judges with a country twinged edition of Amazing Grace. Having sold her horse to make it to Philadelphia to audition Kristy Lee also had that feel good Idol vibe as well.

Kristy Lee is not your typical young lady. Until Kristy moved to Texas a few years ago to pursue her music career, she was living in a log-cabin style home, surrounded by pine trees, in Selma, Oregon, and riding her horse, Midnight, almost every day. Putting Midnight, an Arabian, through her paces usually meant jumping, racing, and swimming in the river…most of which Kristy did bareback. [link]

Kristie Lee has a beautiful voice and a lovely personality. She should go far. She is a Christian, clean cut and a real sweetheart. She is my Grnddaughter.

Kristy has a very competitive spirit and alot of determination. On top of that, she is AWESOME!!!! I am biased, but I am confident that America will see what I see. An outstanding young lady that will blow your socks off and bring some wonderful music to us!

she is a crack up, I remember when she rode her horse thru the dairy queen drive thru window. I watched her at our high school sing and she is so awesome, she looked at me and I was in love.
she brought my neighbor a christmas gift one year when she got money from singing. she rode her horse. He got a bike. It was sooooooooosweet.
I hope she wins it all. she is a real person. Not many like that anymore.

She is real and an awesome voice. I could listen to her for hours. Lsiten to her on my space. she is so good. I want her to win.

Kristy Lee has used the media like anyone else like her would. Someone that has had ample opportunities and has not been able to make it. She was very fortunate to have the training and previous record deals in the past. And to all the American Idol fans that are dissapointed by seeing another RETREAD (professional, claiming AI amatuer stardom), all we can do is pray that someone that really deserves a chance, and really is a diamond in the rough that needs a blessing or two wins. I feel sorry for sell-outs like her that will do anything for attention. Cage fighting (Gimme a break, what a joke “The cage fighting American Idol” hahahaha) Come on Grandma even you can’t think that NICE girls participate in that…..selling a horse to get there, for the SECOND time, like the paper said SECOND time a charm…..what kind of a redneck town are we portaying here? People aren’t stupid and aren’t buying it and it’s too bad she wasn’t more forthecoming and honest regarding her musical past. She seems underhanded…I guess what ever it takes…….SING ON RETREAD!!!!

she is a very good singer, even better than syesha and carly who just shouts…. she should just choose the right songs…. hope she does HERO on mariah carey week and BEFORE HE CHEATS by carrie. that would really showcase her talent!!!! so that freak archuleta fans would stop bugging her….

She is a wonderful singer….much potential to be a successful country artist…to her grandma: your granddaughter is an inspiration to young Christians to look to keep focused on the Lord and not on anyone or anything else to fulfill the dreams He dreams for them. Kristy’s perseverence and faith will conitnue to take her far beyond what she can ask or imagine….to blessings unfathomable. Go Kristy…

I like Kristy Lee Cook, but sometimes she is off tune. Still, she has an amzaing voice. Keep up the good work Kristy! I hope you make an album
