There will be a large void in my Sunday evenings but no fear, John From Cincinnati premiere’s after the Sopranos finale on June 10. The trailers are compelling, mysterious and confusing, but what else do you expect from HBO. A floating surfer of course. Considering the series comes from the Deadwood producers and the HBO farm it ought to be good.

Another one to look out for is Flight of the Concords it “follows the trials and tribulations of a two-man, New Zealand digi-folk band as they make their way in New York City” .

And of course Big Love returns on Monday. This is one that took a while to hook me in, but I wouldn’t miss it.

As a fan of HBO’s Entourage I’m intrigued by the documentary Shot in the Dark. It’s directed by Adrian Grenier and chronicles his efforts to connect with the father he never know.

Adrian looks like a compelling actor. He’s funny on Entourage, though the whole show is really paper thin. I’m curious to see what else he’s about. A bit of a gutsy move for an actor to actually give up a real part of themselves on screen. Acting is one thing, but the real emotions connected to parental bonds are quite another. Worth a watch.
