Oceanic Airlines Commercial

Friday, February 1st, 2008

The season premiere of Lost was last night and as usual it’s left people talking - about what did and didn’t happen. And one of the things they’re talking about is this Oceanic Airlines Commercial. ABC done a good job tying the show back into the web with the find815.com web site. Looking forward to another Lost season full of interesting twists and frustrations. Here’s the Oceanic commercial video.

Lost Goes Back to the Beach, Sort of

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Last weeks episode of Lost opened at the beach, and for a minute or two I thought they would return the focus to the beach cast and events. Nope. Instead we follow Desmond through a nearly episode long flash back as we see his life before the dreaded Hatch.

I read somewhere the episode had the lowest rating of the season. Probably not due to the episode itself, but likely people growing weary of the drawn out Sawyer, Jack and Kate second Island saga. So the thought of returning the beach sounded good.

Desmond’s flashback presented his power of seeing the future. It almost felt like a storyline out of Heros. It was pretty compelling though. We haven’t leanred much about the mysterious Desmond and his past until now. But little was revealed as to how his powers may play into the overall storyline.

I still believe Lost is drowning itself so far this season. Hero’s has so far eclipsed Lost in it’s opening season, but Hero’s has a long way to go to reach Losts depth and who know if the Hero’s can keep the mystery compelling either.

Lost is Back

Wednesday, February 7th, 2007

Finally, Lost is back. Along with Heros one of the most original shows on TV today. In the first part of the season Lost got muddled down in the adventures of Sawyer, Jack and Kate, somewhat neglecting the infamous beach and other cast members. While it was nice to finally get the low down on the ‘Others’ it was too much. Things started to drag.

I’ve read a few reviews of the second half of the season and it sounds like the focus is moving back to the full ensemble cast. I know the secrets are what drives the show, but I think they need to give out a bit more during this second half. Take a cue from Heros and keep it moving.

Kate and Sawyer finally escape the second island, leaving Jack behind. The back story on Julliet raises more mysteries surrounding what has been taking place on the island all this time. Medical experiements and rooms with crazy flashing lights seem the norm. I’m intrigued as hell and dying for more.
